Verify every payment before it moves.
Before money leaves, the right person must approve the exact payment, including the amount and who it goes to. You keep a clear record of that decision.

Your policy says do not trust video calls. Nothing enforces it at the point of payment.
Fraud does not always start with a stolen password. Existing controls can confirm who is logged in without proving the payment itself should be released.

Traditional MFA can still be phished.
SMS, email codes, TOTP and push approvals can be intercepted or worn down. That still only answers who authenticated.
UK NCSC guidance · April 2026
Traditional MFA methods including SMS, email codes, TOTP and push approvals are inherently phishable. FIDO2 and passkeys are more phishing-resistant, but they still do not decide whether a legitimate employee should release a high-value payment.
Authentication asks
Is this really the right person?
TransferTrust asks
Should this company send £750,000 to this beneficiary, for this purpose, at this time?
A payment-specific trust decision can look at
Authentication proves who approved the payment. It does not prove the payment should be made.
Knowing who someone is is not enough.
You also need to know what they approved.
Logging in proves identity. TransferTrust goes further: it proves the right person approved this specific payment before the money moves.
01. Signing in
Confirms who is using the system or device. It does not prove they checked and approved this exact payment.
02. Approving the payment
Confirms an authorised person approved this amount, payee and reference. That approval is locked to the payment details.
Each approval is tied to the details of that payment
How it works
More checks where risk is high. Less friction where it is not.
Most everyday payments can stay quiet. Unusual or high-risk ones ask the right people to confirm the exact payment before money moves.

Unusual
One quick check

High risk
Stronger gate
- Two people can be required
- Optional cooling-off period
- Security can be alerted

Why it matters
Payment fraud does not nick pennies. It takes the whole transfer.
Corporates, banks, insurers and payment firms move large sums every day for legitimate business reasons. Fraudsters exploit that volume through impersonation, business email compromise, compromised accounts and payment redirection.
When a fraudulent payment is authorised and released, the exposure can be the full transaction value, alongside investigation, recovery, operational and reputational costs.
Corporates
A diverted supplier, payroll or treasury payment can create a significant cash-flow loss, trigger internal investigations and damage relationships with customers, suppliers and partners.
Banks & payment firms
APP fraud creates reimbursement, investigation, fraud-prevention and operational costs. UK payment firms are subject to increasingly stringent requirements designed to prevent fraud and protect eligible customers.
Insurers
Claims, settlements and broker commissions can involve substantial payments. Once a fraudulent or misdirected payment leaves an account, recovery can become difficult and time-sensitive.
The bank protects the payment rail.
TransferTrust protects the decision to pay.
Bank controls and APP reimbursement help, but they do not cover every large corporate payment. TransferTrust adds an independent approval step before high-value payments leave, so a convincing email or call is not enough on its own.
Payments that need protection
Every approval should leave evidence.
TransferTrust keeps a linked, append-only record of approvals. That helps finance, risk and audit teams see what happened, without relying on screenshots or email trails.
